How to Relieve a Sunburn

How to Relieve a Sunburn

Let’s admit it, no one likes having a sunburn. They are painful and if they start blistering and peeling, sunburns can be ugly. The pain alone can make anyone want relief. Here are some tips to help get rid of a sunburn.

1. Relieve with Aloe Vera

The best form of aloe vera for a sunburn is straight from an aloe vera plant. Though if you do not have the plant, then using products that have aloe can be very helpful to relieve sunburns. Aloe Essence is a toner that helps clear and soothe the skin. This is a great toner to use after you have gotten a sunburn. DBH’s Aloe Response Mask is a great mask to use daily, once a week, or as an overnight mask to help soothe the skin and protect the skin from losing moisture. These products use aloe vera to help smooth the skin and relieve the skin of any burns.

2. Hydrate with a Moisturizer

When the skin becomes sunburned, it can become dehydrated and dry. This is why adding moisture to the skin and keeping the skin moist can really help relieve the skin. When you have a sunburn or when you will be out in the sun for long periods of time, make sure to drink plenty of water and eat watery foods, such as watermelon, cucumbers, and melons. Another great way to keep moisture in the skin is by using a lotion, such as Multi Cream on your face and hands. This cream uses vitamins to help the skin keep in moisture while also smoothing the skin. Furthermore, using Milk Cream as your daily moisturizer can be very helpful as it will help soothe the sensitive skin that comes with sunburns.

3. Protect with Sunscreen

Sunscreen works as a way to block the UV rays that damage the skin. When you already have a sunburn, it is recommended to stay out of the sun in order to allow the sensitive skin to heal. Though if that is not something you can do, wearing SPF UV Shield Sunscreen can help make it so that your skin is protected, while also hydrating the skin.

So there you have it! Relieving a sunburn is easy.
